Thierry Henry has explained why he refuses to dream too far right now even though Arsenal are off to a great start in the Premier League.
Arsenal's best start in the Premier League has seen Mikel Arteta's men lead the table at the moment with 2 points more than Manchester City. The Gunners have only dropped points twice this season against Man United and Southampton.
Despite his former club's incredible form, Henry was not overly confident in Arsenal's title chances, giving the example of Liverpool's failure to keep up with City in recent seasons.
Speaking to CBS Sports, Henry said: "It's only been 11 games, but you're going to celebrate the championship after 38 games. I don't want to dream because it's reality. Everything right now with Arsenal is just hope because we've seen what City can do in previous seasons."
Henry added: “Look at Liverpool… they tried twice to keep the race going against Man City but couldn't. So we need to wait and see what happens to Arsenal. However, Arsenal still offers a lot of hope right now."
Arsenal went into the match against Southampton last Sunday with a streak of eight wins in a row. Despite taking the lead through Xhaka, the Gunners left the field with a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes at St Mary's.
£50m signing Gabriel Jesus admitted Arsenal were 'a bit upset' at dropping points but urged teammates to stay 'calm'.
"Everybody was a little bit sad because we knew we could win the game," the Brazilian striker said. The opponent played well but we were better than them. We didn't take some chances and let them equalize."
He added: “We will come back strong, play our own football, the same way the team started the season and everything is back to normal. You won't be able to avoid dropping scores, but it's important to stay awake. That's what we have to do.”
Arsenal will host Nottingham Forest this Sunday in the framework of the English Premier League. But before that, the Gunners will play PSV again at the Emirates in the Europa League. The match will take place at 23:45, October 27 in Vietnam time. Arteta's army won the ticket to continue and will have the most comfortable mentality for this match.
