Nkunku announced the good news to Chelsea

After a thorough examination, Chelsea's medical team determined that Nkunku's injury was not too serious. The French striker can soon return to training with his teammates.

If all goes well, Nkunku can play in the match against Middlesbrough in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals on January 24. In the first leg, Chelsea lost 0-1.

The fact that Nkunku can soon return to play is good news for Chelsea fans. Coach Pochettino does not have many options for attack.

Previously, Chelsea lost Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese player returned to play for the national team at the CAN Cup.

Currently, Broja is Chelsea's only striker. In the past few matches, Coach Pochettino even had to let Cole Palmer be the striker to his left.

Nkunku is Chelsea's rookie in the 2023 summer transfer window. The Blues had to spend up to 60 million pounds to recruit him from Leipzig.

However, Nkunku has not made many contributions so far. Before suffering a hip injury, the French player missed most of the first leg due to a knee problem.
